Do you ever feel so stressed, bogged down or worse, weighted down by all the stress and busyness of life that you find yourself holding your breath, or not even taking a breath in the first place, let alone exhaling?

You know why you’re reminded to breath in and breath (exhale) out when your exercising or stressed out? Because the act itself helps relax you, releases toxins and helps calm you down.

Trying it right now.

You’re doing it anyway, even if it’s very shallow, so it’s not going to take any time away from your day.

Take a good deep breath and allow yourself a long exhale.

Now check in with your body.

Do you feel any more relaxed? Cleansed? Focused?

Did you feel your muscles release? Your mind clear up?

Only a little? Well, isn’t that still better than before?

Try to do it a few times each day. Whenever you feel stressed, weighted down or worried.

Your body will thank you. ๐Ÿ™‚

So, if nothing else, tonight when you’re settling into bed remember to take a deep breath and exhale.

  7. Right before I get ready for bed I take at least five be minutes to exhale my stress. It has helped me feel more calm before I go to sleep.
