Are you looking for a gift guide for a 7-year-old?
It’s always hard to know what to get anyone.
7-year-old fall into that category too lol.
I know what my current almost 7-year-old likes but I am clueless when it comes to any others.
Recently one of his friends turned 7 and I asked his mom what he’d like.
It was so different than my son.
Another friend, this time a girl, again, completely different.
So to help you out and/ or at least give you some options to play around with, I’ve got a list of gifts that my 7-year-old and his friends are into!

Gift Guide for 7-Year-Olds
I’ll start with my son.
If you’ve read through some of the other gift guide posts you know I’ve given ideas for 4-year-old and 6-year-old.
Right now my son is hugely into legos and star wars.
Not only that but also lego star wars 🙂
Legos
For a few years now I’ve been meaning to get my son a general set of Legos.
Mostly, his pile consists of pieces and bricks from kits he’s put together but ‘taken apart’.
This is great but sometimes I think it’d be nice to just have general pieces to help make new things.
We’ve been introduced to lego building challenges and he can spend an hour just putting together his own spaceships, spacecraft, and vehicles.

Star Wars Legos
This past summer I managed to get my son to watch the original three Star Wars movies.
Then we found some Lego Star Wars games and he loves them.
Thus our own Star Wars saga began 🙂
The Razor Crest
He received the Razor Crest last Christmas, and even though I had to help him make it, we both enjoy it so much.
It’s even managed to stay together, for the most part.
This year he wants to add to his collection.
The Death Star Final Duel
The Death Star Final Duel is his first choice among all the options.
It has Darth Vader but maybe more importantly it has Luke and 2 lightsabers 🙂
Poe Dameron X-Wing
Poe Dameron’s x-wing fighter is his second choice.
And why you might ask?
Well, it has R2-D2 🙂
Other Gifts for 7-year-olds
Now for his other friend, he’s into spy gear and magic tricks.
My son has actually shown interest in these too, just not as much.
Spy Gear
This specific friend has been into spy gear for at least a year.
Last birthday we got him this spy set.
My son saw us buying it online and decided he wanted one, of course!
This is what we found for him.
Magic Tricks
This year we decided to set him up with some magic tricks!
The magic set we got him has over 200 different tricks you can learn and perform for his family 🙂
Reading
His other friend is way into reading!
One of the books we were introduced to in school was the Magic Treehouse Series.
It’s about a brother and sister, Jack and Annie, about 7 and 6 respectively, who find a magical treehouse in the woods not far from their home.
The treehouse transports them to different time periods and cultures to go on adventures.
Not only does it introduce them to these different cultures but also to historical figures and dates.
My son really enjoys listening to these.
Dinosaurs
What young kid doesn’t love dinosaurs?
For this particular friend, the one who loves reading, we’ll probably get her this Dinopedia.
A great resource for a dino-loving kid.
I know she also enjoyed a dinosaur dig kit that they got one for my son 🙂
This dino sand kit is probably what we’ll get her this year!
