A few years ago I was challenged to write a post about 10 Things that make me Happy. I was so excited to write it until I started!
I immediately thought of about 3 things and then drew a blank!!!
Can you believe that? A blank! I was supposed to write about 10 items and I only had 3!
Well, needless to say after a few more minutes I easily had my 10, plus so many more. That’s when I decided to do seasonal editions!
My first seasonal edition was Fall: If you happened to miss it, check it out – 10 Things that Make me Happy in Fall edition!!!! And if you’re interested in checking out the winter edition: Here it is! And then we had Spring 🙂
Now, in case you did miss, and didn’t go and read the other editions :), fall is my favorite. Winter has my favorite holiday and Spring is when everything is coming back to life. Such a great time to remind yourself of renewal. Nature does it, so should we 🙂 But now there’s summer!

Amusement Parks
I don’t know about you but amusement parks and summer are synonymous! Even if you don’t like roller coasters there are always fun water rides or fun shows to watch. Not to mention, what better way to have a great excuse to eat yummy park food 🙂
Don’t forget to take a water bottle with you!
Water Parks
What can I say, a water park in the heat of summer is wonderful!!! All-day water and sun fun 🙂 Can’t beat that.

Fireworks
Growing up I always loved the thought of going to the local July 4th celebration. Sitting by the lake on a blanket with friends and family, enjoying the fireworks!
Hiking
One of my ultimate summer activities. Being outside, the fresh air, feeling successful after hiking a steep climb.
You’ll want to make sure you have a hydration pack with you!
Canoeing
Being on the lake. Spotting wildlife. The calming view of the surface of the water. The blue sky above…..

Camping
So what would the above have without camping lol 🙂 Being in the outdoors, the fresh air.
Cut Grass
I know for those of you who have allergies this is a nemesis but I love the smell of cut grass! I even enjoy the time spent mowing!
Strappy Sandals
After a long winter and a rainy spring, there is nothing better than being able to put your feet into some cute strappy sandals!
Beach
Ah, feet in the sand, waves lapping on the beach. Wonder why I named this site white sands and cool breezes? 😉
S’mores
My goal every summer is to have at least one s’more lol 🙂 I can never have enough s’mores, I’ve even been known to make them at home in the microwave!

I love hiking, especially where I live. It can get really hot in the city so a great way to escape the excessive heat is to head to the mountains and go for a hike. It’s great exercise and getting some fresh cool air is always great!
And of course, the beaches where I live are to die for, so they make me very very happy! 🙂

Waterparks! Generally splashing in pools and waves. I love that so much about summer!
Had to smile a little at the fireworks on the list. Where I live, those are synonymous with New Year’s eve, so not summery.

I’ve totally been itching to go hiking!! It’s one of my favorite things to do when things start to warm up. Also, I can never resist a good s’more 😉

Water parks and fireworks are on my list too. I live in Texas and we wear sandals and flip flops practically all year! Still a darn good part of summer though:)

I LOVE amusement parks and water parks! Right now my kids are too small for many of my favorites but I seriously can’t wait to ride a roller coaster with my boys.
