Do you treat yourself?
When was the last time you treated yourself, a loved one, a friend to a treat?
Speaking of, are you constantly giving to others but not to yourself?
We hear a lot about self-care these days.
Well, are you exhausted at night?
What? You don’t even make it until noon?
When you wake up are you already exhausted?
You’re not alone!
Some studies show that 75% of workers are exhausted during the day. And no offense to those who aren’t moms, but if you’re a mom it’s probably much, much higher!!
I’ll be the first to tell you that it’s not easy to find time to treat yourself especially if/when you’re always ‘treating’ others.
I only have one child and live with my parents but finding time for myself is so not easy!
Thankful I get little times here and there that I can and do consider treats. These may seem silly or small and it’s true, they are, but when it may be my only option for a while or at all then I try to be grateful for it. This may simply come in the form of catching up on one of my current favorite tv shows, reading, taking a nap or driving to the store by myself.
Now how about we think about it in terms of how we treat ourselves. Not in terms of giving ourselves or others things but in terms of how we behave towards ourselves.
Do you treat yourself well? Taking care of your body, mind, spirit?
And let’s not forget, as much as we do need to treat ourselves well, we need to keep in mind how we are treating others.
Remember the golden rule 🙂
Do unto others as you’d have done to you! Right?!
What have you done lately to treat yourself? Do you try on a daily basis to treat others well? Please share with us in the comments below. We all need new ideas 🙂 Thanks!
